LibraryCamp in pictures...

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came to LibraryCamp on Saturday. It amazes me that so many people come on their day off, pay for their own travel and accommodation and bake wonderful cakes. Here are some great photos from Claire and Sasha.

Sasha is also organising CityCamp Coventry this weekend and says "it would be good to see some library ideas being pitched". CityCamp Coventry aims to encourage and enable local government, businesses, community organisations and academia to share knowledge, web technologies and experience to help shape the future of Coventry. It's not too late to register. It looks like an exciting event - a first for a UK council - what are you waiting for? Get out from the library echo chamber and connect!

Big massive thanks are due to all our sponsors; Library Game, Shared Intelligence, UK GovCamp, Red Quadrant, Ken Chad Consulting, Credit Plus, to Facet Publishing for the best cake prize, to Critical Eye Communication's Steph Taylor for live blogging and unstoppable tweeting. Plus huge big thanks to all the Crowdfunder donors and to Dave Pattern and Andrew Preater for enabling us to reach our target. Thanks also to Emil and Sasha and Ben for your help and advice on the day and the great staff at The Signing Tree and finally thank you to all the bakers who brought a delicious collection of incredible edibles for #cakecamp.

  1. Back when I was off to a series of convention in Luton, UK I worried that the accommodations could burn a serious hole in my pocket. Found the friendly hotels in luton prices and I got to save a lot of money.
